Old Sadler England, white china teapot with handpainted fruit and flowers. Nice small sized teapot, this is an old possibly antique teapot with gold trim around the base,spout handle and lid.
It has crackling all over the surface and is marked on the bottom with embossed letters "Sadler England".
It has the numbers in silver A 033. I believe this to be early 1900 possibly post 1880's since the McKinley Tariff Act of 1890 required any imported items to be labeled with "Made In" before their country of origin name.
It measures 5" tall to the top of the lid handle, 7" wide spout to handle and 3 3/4" wide.
It is a lovely piece and in very good condition. There is very little gilding loss since I can only notice a tiny spot on the tip of the lid handle. The crackling in the glaze gives it a nice aged touch which is more an assett than a flaw.
