BOSSONS
Bossons character wall masks (heads), plaques, figurines, and other decorative pieces are made by W.H. Bossons, Limited, of Congleton, England. The company was founded in 1946 and closed in 1996. The word Bossons refers to the decorative items produced by the Bossons company of Congleton, England. Bossons was in business for 50 years, finally closing its factory doors in 1996, and over this time they made a huge variety of items, over 800 different designs in total. Lots of people think that Bossons only made their famous chalkware wall masks, but in fact they made a wide range of items out of not only chalkware, but pottery and "Stonite" - a PVC-like material developed by Bossons. Many hundreds of people around the world enjoy the thrill of collecting Bossons. The superb detailing of the models, coupled with the hand-painted uniqueness of each and every item, makes every Bossons a work of art.
There are of course many imitators of these heads but Bossons always marked their pieces with the 'Bossons' name.
Here we have both on sale.
